‌‌The Best Thing We Ate ⭐️

Peggy's

Fish sandwich $19 - potato bun, panko fried Snapper, tartare, American cheese, onion & lettuce

The thing we ate last week was Peggy's fish sandwich. Simple and delicious. We're looking forward to dropping in again to try more from their menu!

The sausage sandwich was also delicious, but the fish sandwich takes the w 🏆.

What We Ate 🍴

Melts Gourmet Toastie Bar

Chose up of grilled cheese toasted sandwich in paper container
Melts signature $14.5 - signature 3 cheese blend, onions & garlic mix

We finished up at Melts Gourmet Toastie Bar to wrap up our Fri-date (I wanted to hit up Suku after, but Paige's stomach was at capacity). the toasted sandwiches here are great. Melts Gourmet Toastie bar is also one of the very few places in Perth where you can get Japanese style crepe.

Tosaka Ramen

Black garlic w cha-shu tori paitan $28 - pork belly cha-shu, chicken cha-shu, spring onion, onion & green veg (inc. onsen egg for +$2.5)

Last time we visited Tosaka Ramen was.. around this time last year.

We can confirm the ramen here is still good and consistent with all our past visits across the years. Tosaka Ramen (tori paitan - chicken bone broth) is my pick if I want something rich, but not as rich with tonkotsu ramen (pork bone broth).

Cafe Guilty Pleasure

Injeolmi croffle (double) $15

Cafe Guilty Pleasure was our dessert spot of choice after ramen. It's our go-to Korean dessert cafe as I think it ranks well from a food and ambience perspective. We were surprised to see that their Mount Lawley branch was pretty quiet for Friday night though.

Fresh strawberry cake $8.8

The slice of cake we got really looks like the cake emoji 🍰.

Wang's Treasure House

Our second visit to Wang's Treasure house proved to be as delicious as our first. Again, I didn't even bother trying to get prices down, for obvious reasons 😅 (dishes are priced based off "size").

Unfortunately they were sold out of our favourite dim sum treat - egg tarts, when we dined at around 12 pm. There's always next time!

Chicken on Charcoal Flame

Lamb cutlets $28 - lamb cutlets served on a bed of rice with salad and sauce

To end the week, we dropped by Chicken on Charcoal Flame. I got the same as last time - their mixed plate while Paige got the lamb cutlets. Next time we'll return try out their charcoal chicken and see how it compares to On Fire Charcoal Chicken - a fave of ours.
